1        Introduction

Persy London Limited (“Persy”, also referred to in this Policy as “we” or “us”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.  This policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets out how Persy stores and uses information about you (your “Personal Data” – for more information see here).

2        Types of Information We Collect

2.1        The information which we collect about you is set out in the table below

2.2        The App may contain links to other independent websites which are not provided by us. Such independent sites are not under our control, and we are not responsible for and have not checked and approved their content or their privacy policies (if any).  You will need to make your own independent judgement about whether to use any such independent sites, including whether to buy any products or services offered by them.

2.3        By using the App, you agree to us collecting and using technical information about the devices you use the App on and related software, hardware and peripherals to improve our products and services.

3        Use of your Information

3.1        We may process your Personal Data if it is necessary to comply with any legal obligation to which we are subject to or where necessary for the purposes of our legitimate business interests (and in certain other limited circumstances).  The purpose for which we use your Personal Data is set out in more detail in the table below

To administer your account

Pickup and drop-off locations.  Geo location data which is provided by your mobile device. 

Personal Data of Customers:  Provided to Drivers in the area, who will decide whether to accept your Order. 

When your Order is accepted, your Driver will use the data to collect you and fulfil your Transportation Contract. 

Personal Data of Drivers:  your location will be displayed to Customers and Persy while you are using the App

Your Driver will use your phone number to contact you in relation to your Order.

Confirmation of completed and cancelled Orders and receipts for both Customers and Drivers

Payment details and any other authentication which we may require

In order to take payment from you.  We use Stripe, a third party provider, to process your payment.

In order to reconcile our records in relation to your Orders.

So that we can perform due diligence on you as a Driver.  Your vehicle information will be provided to customers whose Order you have accepted. 

We collect information created during your various interactions with the App, including the date and time of an Order, Driver acceptance of the Order, Driver arrival, completion of Transportation Contracts, as well as distance travelled, amount charged, including breakdown of base fee, tip and additional fees

3.2        We use Stripe as a 3rd party provider for payment processing. Below is how Stripe collects data and how it used.

Phone number

Data is linked to a Stripe Customer object so we can identify you for taking. payments next time to use the app. This is required for app functionality to provide payments

Installed applications

We collect data related to the usage of Stripe SDK components for analytics and fraud prevention.

 


4           Security

4.1        We have implemented administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, modification and unavailability.

4.2        We will comply with applicable law in the event of any breach of the security, confidentiality, or integrity of your Personal Data and, where we consider appropriate or where required by applicable law, notify you via email, text or the App as soon as we reasonably can, except if we are prevented by doing this by (i) the legitimate needs of law enforcement or (ii) any measures necessary to determine the scope of the breach and restore the reasonable integrity of the data system.

4.3        Although guaranteed security does not exist either on or off the Internet, we make commercially reasonable efforts to make the collection and security of such information consistent with this Privacy Policy and all applicable laws and regulations.

4.4        Where we have given you, or you have chosen, a username, login or password which enables you to access certain parts of the App, you are responsible for keeping this information confidential.  You mut not share a username, login or password with anyone, and we ask you not to reuse the same password across multiple websites or apps

4.5        We restrict access to your Personal Data to individuals who need access to it in order to process it on our behalf. These individuals are bound by confidentiality agreements and we will take appropriate action (which may include disciplinary proceedings) in the event we find that our employee(s) or other individuals working on our behalf have failed to meet standards in looking after Personal Data.  

5           Data Retention

5.1        We will retain your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose(s) for which it was collected and to comply with applicable laws.

5.2        This means that we store your data throughout the existence of your account with us.  Information relevant to Orders you make using the App are retained for a further 6 years. 

6        Sharing Your Information

6.1        We will not share your Personal Data except as described in this Privacy Policy.  Where you Personal Data is shared with anyone, this is described in the table above.

7        Location of your Information

7.1        We store your Personal Data in the UK and in the cloud using Google Firebase.  The Google Firebase privacy policy is available here:  https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

8        Your Rights

8.1        You have the right to obtain a copy of the Personal Data we hold about you, and to be informed of certain details, such as (a) the source of your Personal Data; (b) the purposes, legal basis and methods of processing; (c) the data controller’s identity; and (d) the entities or categories of entities to whom your Personal Data may be transferred.

8.2        You can update the information we hold about you through the App. If the Personal Data is incorrect, incomplete or not processed in compliance with applicable law or this Privacy Policy, you may have the right to have your Personal Data rectified or deleted in accordance with applicable law.

8.3        Right to object: In certain circumstances (e.g., where your Personal Data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests), you may have the right to object to the processing of your Personal Data on the basis of compelling grounds related to your particular situation.  Where this is the case, it is likely that we will be unable to continue to provided you with services. 

8.4        If the processing of your Personal Data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent to such processing at any time.  

8.5        You have the right to lodge a complaint at any time with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

8.6        To exercise these rights, where applicable, please contact us at app@persylondon.com.  We may ask you for additional information to confirm your identity and for security purposes before complying with your request. We reserve the right to charge a fee where permitted by law, for instance if your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.

9        Changes to Privacy Policy

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time.  Any changes will be posted in the App.  Please check the Privacy Policy each time you send us Personal Data. The date of the most recent revisions will appear on this page.
